Recording of myself walking through olvera street over in los angeles, unfortunately arrived when everything was about to close down so it's not as busy, but something to note, i wasn't still, i walked through the street so music and people talking are passing by quicker in the recording and the occasional footstep from myself can be heard. Sound created using the wooden rod inside of my coat closet, and recorded on a zoom h2 recorder. This effect was used to create a sort of dungeon ambiance in a musical track. So when i started the recording, humans arrives in the street with some music and the birds keep singing at the same time. Finally, birds keep quiet and surely flee from humans who goes further. Then it's silence.

I whipped up this wacky reinterpretation of the twilight zone intro while doing a sound design concept. Originally contributed by freesound user juskiddink, this series of two blasts on a finnish birch bark horn has been shortened and tightened for use as a ring tone. It's a long, organic and haunting two-tone call echoing in the forest night; a clear alternative to the mechanical and tightly musical ringtones out there, and one i like a lot. Edited to wrap nicely for a continuing repeat.
